The story
A preschool here in Austin asked me to sit down with them in person and work through their week, job by job, to see where AI could help.
Partway through, staff scheduling came up, and how painful it was. They were running it by hand, and nothing they had tried was built for the way a preschool covers its rooms when a teacher calls out.
I had a prototype in a month. Then I worked side by side with the school's administrator, and together we built it into a product.
Today it is Schedule Wrangler, staff scheduling software built for preschools. Preschools pay for it and run their staffing on it.
